Energy Efficient Electronically Commutated EC AC fans

Sanyo Denki Energy efficient electronically commutated 9AD axial brushless fans internally convert AC to DC and utilise BLDC motors reducing power consumption by between 30% and 70%, saving both running costs and helping reduce carbon emissions. In addition the BLDC motor offers a much increased fan life with typical 60,000 hours at 60 degrees compared to around 25,000 hours for typical traditional AC fans.

The flexible AC input feature accepts voltages from 90 to 265VAC and 50 to 60HZ frequency to operate from all global mains voltages. The same multi-voltage fan can be used by OEMs regardless of the voltage needed for the country in which their equipment is used.

Whilst EC AC fans have a higher capital cost than traditional inefficient AC fans, the full life cost taking into account electricity costs and maintenance replacements repays the additional investment within two to five years depending on the usage duty of the fans.
