Burgess Hill, West Sussex – 12th May 2026 – EAO Ltd is pleased to announce the UK availability of Sanyo Denki’s new 56 mm square Stepper Motor with Integrated Driver, an advanced motion solution designed to simplify wiring, reduce installation space, and deliver highly accurate movement control for automation, robotics, and conveyor applications.
Building on Sanyo Denki’s reputation for precision engineering, the new integrated motor-and-driver assembly offers exceptional performance in a compact form factor, reducing system complexity while enhancing reliability.
Space‑Saving and Wire‑Saving Design
By combining the motor and driver into a single integrated unit, wiring requirements are significantly reduced. Control of the motor can be achieved with as few as five wires for power and communication. The motor also allows direct connection of limit sensors and homing signals, further reducing internal wiring and simplifying equipment design.
Accurate and Reliable Motion Trajectory
Using a high‑performance stepper motor, the system ensures precise, repeatable movement regardless of load. This makes it an ideal choice for applications requiring exact positioning, such as conveyor systems, automated machinery, and packaging equipment.
Easy Setup with Simple Operation Commands
The integrated driver supports a range of standard operation commands including:
- Positioning
- Continuous rotation
- Homing
Users can quickly configure key parameters such as position, speed, acceleration, and command selection, enabling fast commissioning and easy optimisation.
Smooth Movement with S‑Curve Acceleration
To reduce mechanical shock and improve motion smoothness, the motor offers two types of S‑curve acceleration/deceleration profiles:
- Type 1: Gradual peak acceleration between 25–75% of the cycle, offering up to 1.25× the acceleration of linear ramps.
- Type 2: Acceleration peak at the 50% midpoint, delivering up to 1.9× the acceleration of conventional linear profiles.
These advanced acceleration modes help minimise vibration and stresses during speed transitions.
